Music for an extinct butterfly. Potsdam localize 2019.

The composition of mattresses in an area on the ground creates an area/ island/ territory.

The installation that contains mattresses and sound creates a space without walls or clear boundaries. In this space, the audience can pass around or choose to participate and lay down on the mattresses and become part of the installation. The patterns on the mattress are taken from extinct species of butterflies and were processed by graphic design software and printed on the sheets. The sound produced from the glass objects refer to all kind of ceremonies in which the sound take place as a transformative element as part of the whole ritual. The installation become a part of its architectural and human environment in all three senses.
